Kennedy College Oxford

Outstanding education in the heart of Oxford

Students

With a history of academic excellence stretching back to 2005, Kennedy College Oxford has a long-established record of success and a reputation for enabling our GCSE and sixth form students to attain their goals. Our experience, nurturing approach and individual tutorial-style attention ensure that our students receive the learning support and skills they need to achieve top results at GCSE and A level, and to gain admission into the university or independent boarding school of their choice.

Pathway to success

At Kennedy College Oxford academic success is only part of the curriculum: personal development and career preparation also form an integral part of your programme. Whatever you choose to do, every moment of your time with us is all about you. Through our system of daily informal meetings with your tutors and weekly meetings with your personal tutor we help you to recognise and understand your interests and strengths and to identify your goals – and then to develop a comprehensive programme to attain them.

University and careers

Working closely with each of our students from the very outset, we help them to identify their strengths and interests and to map out a clear path to attain their university and career goals.
We aim to develop their understanding of future possibilities and to foster ambition; no two minds are alike and it’s our role to help each of our students build an accurate picture of individual prospects and opportunities – and then to follow the academic pathway they themselves create to their chosen university and career.

Pastoral Care

Our management staff take an active interest in our students’ daily welfare and operate an ‘open-doors’ policy. This promotes close links between students and all college staff and ensures that any potential or actual questions, problems and anxieties are identified and addressed at an early stage.

Individual Support

From the very outset we recognise that each of our students is a unique individual, with his or her own unique combination of strengths, weaknesses, interests and aims, and through our policy of close personal contact we provide the maximum support at all times.

Boarding

Boarding accommodation is available with our own high-quality local homestay families and, for students aged 18 or over who are able to book well in advance, also in purpose-built student residences.

Homestay

Our homestay families work with us directly, not through an external intermediary, and we generally share a close (and often long-standing) relationship. In short, we know them well – an important component in our accommodation provision.
